When Camille was 10 years old, it was decided that had proved herself capable of looking after her own dogs, so the search began!  The two breeds that were favourites were the Swedish Vallhund and the Norwegian Buhund.  The Bu's won easily!

The first pair came from Michael Quinney (Adoram).  These were Adoram Christmas Rose (Christie) and Adoram Holly (Yanna), who were the start of a long association with the breed.  Following Camille's first litter of 4 pups, she finally qualified to have her own kennel name, this was to be 'Yannista', which was a mix of Yanna and Christie's names.

Camille's 2nd litter contained 9 puppies, a large litter for a Buhund!!  The pups were lovely, and the male Camille kept was to become her soul mate.  Tan (Yannista Barak) won Camille's first ever first at Crufts, her first Reserve CC and her first CC.  He was shown well into veteran but was Camille's last Buhund she owned.  Others were owned inbetween, but he was always there.

Now, after several years absence from the country, but still having an avid interest in the breed, Camille is back, in the ring in the UK, showing Buhunds.  Camille had been asked to handle some Bu's by friends in the breed, and then having Egon (a male from Kimura owned by Britt Marie Halvorsen) living with her during his stay from Norway it really gave her the impetus to look into having another.  Unfortunately, space was an issue!!  Having 2 Estrela's, a Beardie and a Tibetan Terrier already - it just wasn't possible. 

Di Stirling had a wonderful litter that was out of Kimura's Frida (owned by Britt Marit Halvorsen) who was mated in Norway to Kimura's Didrik (half brother to Egon).  Di offered a co-ownership on one of the bitches which had been placed with Sue Cale one of Di's long time friends.  Camille was proud to have shown Ice winning two the first two of her CC's (the first at 8  months, and the 2nd 14 months).  Ice gained her 3rd and crowning CC aged a little under 18 months and was the first of the litter to be awarded her UK Champion title.

What's next??  

Camille now has a little girl on breeding terms from Britt Marit Halvorsen in Norway (Bernegarden's) out of Nor Ch. Vaulartun's Tomba Kimura and Nor/Swe/Bel/Lux Ch. Kimura's Frida.  Foxy arrived in the UK in February 2011 and settled in very quickly.  She has a phenomenal temperament, loving all things great and small (but does like to chase anything that moves quickly!!).  She is looking forward to her Championship show debut (although without CC's on offer) in mid April.
