We are pleased to announce that Foxy (Bernegarden's Reve Enka) arrived safely in the UK in February 2011. She has settled in very quickly and is adored by all. She has attended a handful of small shows where she has gained two Best Puppy in Breed's and two Reserve Best of Breed's. Also, at a Limited Show in March, she was shortlisted in Best in Show and then won Reserve Best Puppy in Show!!

We would like to announce that BERNEGARDEN'S REVE ENKA, a Norwegian Buhund called Foxy, will be arriving from Norway in February 2011 (all being well!).
Foxy is owned and bred by Britt Marit Halvorsen of the world famous Berngarden Saint Bernards, and will come to live with Camille (on breeding terms) for the foreseeable future. We are very excited to have Foxy as part of the Sturtmoor kennels, and Camille is particularly looking forward to getting back to the Buhund ring on a more permanent basis. We wish all the best to Foxy's siblings, wherever in the world they may be! This is Foxy aged approx 7 months. We are very pleased to announce that all of Pi's puppies are now in their forever homes. We would like to congratulate Jayne on have a very successful first Estrela litter, and wish her all the best with her new baby boy from that litter.
Pi's puppies are now 4 weeks old!! There is only one left needing a forever home.
If you are interested, please contact Jayne Lewis via her contact page on Pi's website...... click HERE. Pi (Clerafora Varziela) gave birth to a lovely litter of 6 on 6 September 2010. She had 2 girls and 4 boys of both fawn and brindle colouring. Mother and babies are doing well!
For more information on this litter please visit Pi's Website. We are very pleased to say that all of our puppies from Menna and Jaydee are now spoken for. They all have wonderful loving homes and we hope that some will be shown in the future.
Pi's puppies are due any time, so if you are looking for an Estrela to join your family please contact Jayne Lewis. This is Pi pictured below. Today, at the City of Birmingham Championship show Ice (Arnscroft Kiss and Tell Di for Sturtmoor won her 3rd CC (Challenge Certificate). This makes her a UK Champion (subject to confirmation). Ice is just under 18 months old, so this is no easy feat for any dog, let alone a young one! I am also pleased to say that Ice was also short-listed in the group, this is her 2nd Best of Breed at aChampionship shows and her 2nd Group Short-list! Ice is co-owned by Millie with Di Stirling and Sue Cale. Millie handled Ice for a time gaining her first CC at just 8 months old, then her second at 14 months with Best of Breed (and a group Shorlist!!). For her 3rd today, unfortunately, we were not present at the show and neither was Sue (she was on holiday), so could not share in the celebrations with Di. Chris Cross did a wonderful job of handling Ice, and we were thrilled to hear that she also won the first CC with her Dobermann (Nearctic Madam Pomfrey JW Sh.CM). Way to go Bree!! :0) Congratulations to Sue - with owning her first UK Champion, and for handling her so well! Ice's brother (Arnscroft Kimura Kato) owned by Di Stirling and Kathering Lindstrom, also won the Dog CC today, but was beaten by his sister for Best of Breed. WELL DONE TO ALL! At the Welsh Kennel Club Championship show the Estrela's saw Derek Smith officiating. Sturtmoor had a great day out!!
1st Junior Dog and BEST DOG was Taran (Sturtmoor Neva Say Neva) 1st Junior Bitch - Marnie (Sturtmoor Now and Forever) 1st Post Graduate Bitch - Clerafora Zemaria (Daught of Quinn - Sturtmoor Lammond) 1st Open Bitch, BEST BITCH & BEST OF BREED - Clerafora Valhas (daughter of Quinn - Sturtmoor Lammond) We are very proud of all our babies, even those not born here at Sturtmoor! Pi (Clerafora Varziela) is due a litter out of our Jaydee (Joao da Varanda Dos Pastores at Sturtmoor Imp Port) in September. Pi is a daughter of Quinn (Sturtmoor Lammond) and is the world's first Working Trials Estrela! She has qualifed UDX, but is taking time out to have the litter.
For more information about this litter and contact details please go to Pi's website. We still have one female available from the Menna x Jaydee litter ('0' Litter). They are now 3 weeks old and will be ready for their new homes from 20th September.
There are also two older pet male puppies available from a litter out of our import Jaydee to Quinn's sister Mappie (Sturtmoor Leading Lady). These are brothers to Dante (see below). There is one fawn and one brindle. If you are looking for a forever friend, please contact us for further information. Recent Championship shows were Paignton (2nd August) and Bournemouth (14 August). Only Taran has attended these shows as the others were not entered. He was 1st in Junior dog at both! His coat is just started to grow again, so hopefully he will become more competitive once it has returned fully!
At the Langstone Open show held on 31st July Sturtmoor had a great day! Taran (Sturtmoor Neva Say Neva) won Best of Breed under Judge Sian Yeoman and then went on to win Group 4 in a well supported Group under Judge Christine Collins.
Also, still with not a lot of coat.......Phoenix (Am. Ch. Atisha's Eternal Flame for Sturtmoor) won Best of Breed and also Group 4 under Judge Tegwyn Jones! As at today (3rd August), we have one female available from our Latest Litter (Menna x Jaydee).
If you would like more information please come to us via the Contact Us page. Menna and Jaydee's pups arrived today. We are fairly certain Menna has finished with a total of 5 pups, 3 girls and 2 boys. All are happy and healthy.
Update: 3 August 2010 Today Dante left for his new forever home where he will be living with 4 children (Estrela heaven!). We wish Emma and the rest of the family all the best with their new baby - he is a treasure, and we will all miss him dreadfully. We hope he can come and visit often! DANTE
Dante is looking for a new home. He was born on 15 April 2010 and is out of Quin's sister (Sturtmoor Leading Lady owned by David and Val Watkin-Jones) and Jaydee (Joao da Varanda dos Pastores at Sturtmoor). Dante is a very sweet, laid back puppy who just enjoys life, but he needs a family of his own. Dante has a slight mouth fault, which makes no difference to his well being, so the price will be reduced. If you would like any further information, please contact us. Sorry - still not here..... we are forever hopeful!! News will be posted... when we ever get some! :0)
Menna (bottom picture) is due her puppies on 20th July!! The father is Jaydee (top picture) our latest import from Portugal. Photo's to come as soon as possible!!
